About Mel

Since 2015, I've proudly called Prague home, having immigrated from the US. I gained permanent resident status in 2021, and I'm on the path to full citizenship. With my university degree in Anthropology, I bring a unique perspective to guiding. I see the city as a living anthropological tapestry, where native Czechs, immigrants, and travelers each contribute to our shared story.

Friendly and a clear communicator, I like to think of myself as a bridge between locals and tourists.I hope to offer travellers some deeper insights into this beautiful city, and also help them enjoy it to the fullest with my recommendations and advice. Guiding since 2017, I'm passionate about sharing Prague's history and culture.

These days, I’m working toward Czech citizenship, studying the language and history, and spending my free time watercolor painting, cycling, and hiking through the Czech countryside.
